Road 13 - Tutored Tour and Tasting A fun and informative tour that starts in the vineyard ... where all great wines are made! Participants will be able to kick some dirt, learn about best practices in the vineyard and gain a solid understanding of the grape to glass process. This tour includes a seated tutorial tasting of four wines in varietal specific stemware. After the tasting, participants may choose to order from the private Tasting Lounge Menu.
Cassini Cellars Cassini Cellars is located right on Hwy 97 in the Golden Mile. This winery is relatively new but has already made a name for itself winning a Silver at the All Canadian Wine Championships for their Pinot Noir.
Hester Creek Estate Winery Hester Creek Estate Winery is home to some of the Okanagan's oldest and best producing vinifera vines. This breathtaking vineyard has been in operation for over 40 years and consistently yields some of the finest grapes found in the entire Okanagan Valley.
Miradoro Restaurant at Tinhorn Creek We will be stopping for a 2 course at The Miradoro Restaurant at Tinhorn Creek; the name roughly translates to "Golden View" in Portuguese. This originates from Miradoro restaurant partner Manuel Ferreira's (of famed Vancouver's Le Gavroche) Portuguese background. Miradoro will be serving us a 2 course lunch. Wine is not included on this tour but your waiter will be able to recommend a perfect pairing. This restaurant offers superb views of the scenic South Okanagan Valley.
Fairview Cellars Fairview Cellars is the culmination of a lifelong quest of Bill Eggert's to own and operate his own winery. The 10 acre property located adjacent to the first green of the Fairview Mountain Golf Course was purchased by Bill in 1989. After development of the water system the vineyard was started in 1993. The first commercial vintage was produced from the 1997 crop. Half the property was planted to Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Franc and Merlot were planted in equal parts to fill out the property. One row of Syrah and one row of Petit Verdot were added later, and Sauvignon Blanc was planted on a lower terraced bench close to the first green in 2007.
